The MARRIAGE COURSE is very practical, giving any married couple the tools to build a strong and healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime.
Over seven evenings spent together, couples talk about important issues that can get swept under the carpet in the rush of daily life.
Topics covered include:
- Recognising each other's needs
- Communicating effectively
- Resolving conflict
- Healing past hurt
- Making each other feel loved
- Relating to parents & in-laws
- Good sex
- Making time for each other
- Having fun together
Privacy as a couple is always respected. There is NO group discussion and no requirement to disclose anything about your relationship to anyone else.
What's involved?
Each evening begins with a meal. There is then a talk followed by an opportunity to discuss the topic privately together as a couple. The setting is welcoming, relaxed and unthreatening
If you want to come along and see what the Course is about, we have a pre-Course party each time we run the Course to allow anyone to come and find out more about it. If you would like to meet some who have experienced the Course and also meet the presenters, ring one of the contact couples shown below.
Who is it for?
The Marriage Course is for any married couple that wants to build a strong and lasting relationship, including:- those who want to enhance the enjoyment of marriage
- those in the first five years of marriage
- those with challenges in marriage, e.g. birth of a child, career change, teenagers at home, the 'empty nest'.
- those struggling with difficult issues in their marriage
The course whilst based on Christian principles, is very helpful for any couple with or without a Christian faith or church background.
When is the Course?
Each year we run two Courses, one in the Autumn and one in the summer, usually on seven Thursday evenings.
